tyler durden
Sal'tare.
tyler durden
Concertu intr-adevar nu e postat de artist in mod oficial dar nici nu e vreo piraterie dupa vreun release oficial al artistului - e o captura tv facuta cred ca in Japonia. Si asta inseamna piraterie? Chiar sunt curios. That's it. Am vrut doar sa fac placerea unora.
dass101
Adica e bootleg. Din cite stiu eu bootlegurile sint in zona "gri" a pirateriei. Sint forumuri care le accepta.
Geiger
Guest DarkMan2004
Copyright law has many aspects that allow listeners to enjoy protected music without violating the law. A New York judge struck down the law that made selling bootleg music illegal. Judge Baer argued that the law violates the constitutional mandate that there be a time limit as to the length of copyright protection. The bootleg law fails to place a time limit on the protection of the live shows. The judge stated that this unfairly grants "seemingly perpetual protections." In addition to failing to have a time limit, the judge stated that copyright law does not apply to recordings of live shows. This is because the shows are live and are not in a fixed medium. Unlike copying a CD, bootlegs are recordings of the live perfomances which are not copyright protected. This is a controversial way of viewing live music perfomances which have enjoyed protection from bootleg copies. This raises the possibility of creating a whole new market out of a traditionally underground bootleg world. In the case at hand, Judge Baer dismissed the charges against a man who was running a mail order business. With the law overturned stores can start selling bootleg CD's of live conerts without paying any royalties to the artists. The ruling was by a District judge and we will have to wait and see if the New York Supreme Court affirms the ruling and it's controversial ways of viewing live music. Bootleg copies of live music are not the only way people are working with copyright law. Virgin Music is starting to sell music online as individual songs to be purchsed and also with a subscritpion service for streaming music. For $7.99 a month listeners can hear streaming music of any song in the Virgin music library. Virgin offers the sale of individual songs for 99 cents. Subscritpion services used to be very popular in the past, but has died down as of late. It is estimated that over 2.1 million people currently subscribe to a subscription service. This compares with the over 8 million people who are paying to download songs. The subscription market is fairly open and allows for large profits for companies involved. For the individual songs that sell for 99 cents, about 65-70 cents goes to the record companies. With susbscription service the record companies split the fee 50-50. This creates a huge incentive for companies to provide subscription services. Even Apple is considering getting into the subscription service market. Listening to streaming music allows listeners to have a huge selection without having to buy the songs individually and benefits both the record industry and companies like Virgin. Cosu
