Today I feel an old tree
lost on the top of my head

I can no longer resist 
the weight of broken dreams on my branches
nor the hands of time 
searching the last leavess to pull them off

Today I feel an old tree
while I watch the fire advance

Sea, sea, sea of flames
that ripples and roars as it closes the distance
