SH iaste semi-harmonics.

Artificial Harmonics

There are four types...

Artificial Harmonics Fret the note normally, strike the note and then take your middle finger and lightly touch the same string but several frets up.

Pinched Harmonics Fret the note again, normally, but then as you strike the string with your pick let your thumb rub against the string. Using more volume or distortion will let you get a greater variety of harmonics.

Tapped Harmonics Fret the note, then with your right hand use your middle or index finger to tap the octave twelve frets above it.

Semi Harmonics It is like the pinched harmonic only you keep the natural resonance of the string in addition to the harmonic.
