Hi Andrei,

Thanks for your question.

It is possible some older Bullets had a plywood body, but all Squier Bullets in the last 3 years have had solid wood bodies.

The current models have basswood bodies, as stated on the Squier website, while previous versions have had ‘Chinese Hardwood’ or Agathis (as most Indonesian built Squiers have).

The wikipedia page will be refering to the fact that this particular version of the Bullet (031-0001-5xx SQ BULLET w/TREM) was only introduced in the USA very recently. Before then it was an export-only product. (remember wikipedia is a US-based company).

Rest assured that Squier will always use the best materials and manufacturing techniques allowed by the price bracket.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Adam

Subject: Squier Bullet (STRAT?)

Hi Adam,

On a romanian guitar forum (Romanian Guitarist Community) there is a debate regarding the quality and reliability of the Squier Bullet Strat. Based on an article on Wikipedia ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Squier_Bullet ) , some people claim that the product we sell has a plywood body. As far as I know, the product we bought from you and sold to our customers during the last 2 years , was the Squier Bullet STRAT with a basswood body & tremolo bridge. On the forementioned Wiki article is written that this product was introduced only last month (late sept. 2007!!!) as a replacement of Squier Bullet (the hardtail bridge one..). Following this article, the people on the forum might argue that we are giving them missleading information about the product we sell.

I would very much appreciate if you could look into this issue and let us have your qualified comment.

Thanks and Best Regards,

Andrei
