AKAI is legendary for their MPC (Music ProductionCenter) line of drum machine samplers. The MPC2500 combines a 64-track MIDI sequencer with a 32-voice, 16-bit stereo digital sampler in one extremely powerful desktop unit. It can be used as a standalone instrument or at the center of a music production studio. The MPC2500 can also be upgraded with expansions. An internal hard drive can be added for convenient and easy access to samples and programs. The EXM128 memory expansion can be added for increased sampling time. Once you learn all the quick-functions, it's much faster and creative than working with a computer. Many producers feel that a computer's complexity and sometimes unreliability compromises their workflow and productions skills in the studio. With the MPC2500 this problem is solved. It is an amazing production tool allowing producers to quickly execute ideas and produce fresh beats.
