The Rail is one of the more bizarre-looking basses you will ever see, but everything about it is purely functional. It was designed around the idea of using a

pickup that can be re-positioned so many different kinds of tone can be attained. This is similar in concept to the Dan Armstrong basses of the late 1960s. In this

case, pickup movement was achieved by mounting it to two steel rails so it could be moved at will.

Hard Maple neck and body (If you can call it a body), tuned steel rails join the two body sections. Rosewood fingerboard, graphite nut, 32.25 inch scale 24 frets.

Magnaflux RB pickup, single volume control. No tone control, changes in tone are achieved by sliding the pickup along the rails.

 

Plays great

Sounds awesome

There are no cracks  or anything that would impact the structure of the guitar.

Couple of dings, nothing very visible or problematic.

The fretboard is in very good shape . The neck is straight and the frets is in good condition .

All electronics work perfectly.
