Hello, I’ve also found an old Doina Meteor guitar heavily used by my grandad back in Romania. The state I’ve originally found the guitar in is way different compared to everything I’ve seen online in forum posts like this one and on collection blogs. I’ve found my meteor guitar with a custom paint job, presumably done by my grandad or whoever had the guitar before him and metal plates covering both the meteor logo and where the Doina logo should’ve been on the headstock. I presume this guitar was sold under a different local brand, possibly due to overstock to my grandad, especially since he bought back in 2000 and as far as I’m aware, this is a 70s guitar.
I've come here to ask if anyone here knows more about the meteor’s past and perhaps more information about its electronics, how it all works, what it specifically uses, etc. as far as I know this model is rarely documented and this has been the only major forum post I’ve seen linked to this guitar.
i know this forum post hasn’t really been active since march but i would appreciate any responses.
heres how my model looked like before i stripped its paint and electronics (apologies for the bad quality it’s a really old photo)
Thanks from the UK!
