Yngwie Malmsteen - Relentless

Relentless tracklisting:

'Overture'

'Critical Mass'

'Shot Across The Bow'

'Look At You Now'

'Relentless'

'Enemy Within'

'Knight Of The Vasa Order'

'Caged Animal'

'Into Valhalla'

'Tide Of Desire'

'Adagio B Flat Minor Variation'

'Axe To Grind'

'Blinded'

'Cross To Bear'

'Arpeggios From Hell' (bonus track)

Trying to define the sound of Tokyo-based experimental trio Boris is like asking someone their favorite kind of music. It’s everything, it’s nothing in particular … it’s definitely not country.

Atsuo says Boris didn’t set out to combine musical genres.

“I think in the middle of all the psychedelica, metal and hardcore, we had noise, and that served as the glue that held everything together. It kind of blurred the lines. That’s why we were able to put a bunch of different elements into one work. We’ve always said that we’re a heavy rock band, but I think we’re actually a noise band,” he says with a laugh. “So the title is really fitting. It’s almost like it’s a self-titled album.”

Carach Angren - This is no Fairytale

Gruesome - Savage Land (2015)

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tsk1SuRxLTA

Body Farm - Battle Breed.

Neil-Young-Bluenote-Cafe.jpg

The latest in Neil Young’s Archives series of live recordings, Bluenote Cafe dates from 1988, when its parent album This Note’s for You marked his return to Reprise following an unhappy period at Geffen.

Although This Note’s For You is somewhat limp, Young’s live performances supporting it were another beast entirely. That leads us to Bluenote Café, an enormously entertaining live collection more than makes up for what This Note’s For You lacked as a studio creation. Young’s band was on fire night after night. Bluenote Café includes recordings from 11 different shows from November ‘87 through August ‘88. The collection was originally compiled for release in 1988, but Young scrapped it following the commercial failure of its parent studio album. Finally, 27 years later, fans get to hear just how great Neil Young could be during his supposedly down period of the 1980s.

Neil Young And Bluenote Café: Bluenote Café (Reprise) An extended live document of Neil Young’s 1988 tour—in which he and his band of that particular moment, the Blue Notes, played most of his anti-commercial rant This Note’s For You—may surprise you, especially if you were listening back then.

Bucharest band Environments have been making some of the most enthralling ambient/drone/noise music ever to come out of Romania, and they’ve been going at it constantly for four years. Ambient is not an easy genre to work within, it takes a lot of subtlety to find a distinctive voice, and a lot of patience and refinement to make that voice evolve, and yet their latest release, “Ascuns”, proves without a doubt that they have established a distinctive, remarkable sound, and that their releases are on a constant ascendant curve.
