Custom Audio Electronics WAH MC404

A versatile Wah pedal that does much more:
- 2 different wah tonalities
- boost switch
- true bypass

Solid built, works perfectly, presents some wear.

The MC404 CAE Wah was developed by Bob Bradshaw of Custom Audio Electronics and the Cry Baby design team with the goal of creating a highly versatile wah-wah of top-grade components. It features dual Fasel inductors with two distinct voices (high-end emphasis or low to mid resonance), and a built-in MXR MC401 Boost/LineDriver adds even more flexibility. Choose between inductors and turn the boost on or off with the side-mounted kickswitches; bright LEDs on each side of the wah indicate operation status. The MC404 boasts true hardwire bypass, a long-life CTS potentiometer, and internal pots for "Q" and gain adjustments.

  • To turn the pedal on/off, push the toe of the pedal down until you feel a “click.” Illumi- nated green LED indicates “on.”

  • For a classic Cry Baby sound, engage the yellow Fasel® inductor by pushing the INDUCTOR switch to its “in” position (indicated by illuminated yellow LED).

  • For a deeper wah sound with increased fundamental, engage the red Fasel® inductor by setting the INDUCTOR switch to its “out” position (indicated by illuminated red LED).

• To boost your wah signal, push in the SPECIFICATIONS

BOOST switch (indicated by illuminated blue LED) and use the BOOST VOLUME knob to set desired boost level (up to +20dB).

• Use internal TRIMPOTS to adjust the Q of each Fasel® inductor—rotate clockwise for a narrower bandpass or counterclockwise for a wider bandpass.

• Located under the rocker at the heel of the pedal is an adjustable torque clutch that allows the amount of resistance the rocker has to being moved. Turn clockwise to increase resistance or counterclockwise to decrease resistance.
